Staff and student Culture Shirts – The Worimi Story
This year, students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander have been working on a project that has been six months in the making. It involved the collaboration and partnership of our PBL team, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and the Murrook Cultural Centre.
During the Write It Right sessions, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students were asked to come up with different designs and ideas to represent their culture. These designs were taken to Murrook Cultural Centre for consultation and input.
From this it was decided that the shirts would tell the story of the First Worimi whilst displaying our school PBL values.
Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students will be able to wear this shirt on their Write It Right days (Tuesdays), and to external Junior AECG meetings.
