LMG Cultural Day at Glen William Public School

What a day! Glen William Public School hosted the Term 3 LMG Cultural Day and our school was absolutely bursting with excitement, laughter and learning all day long! Here are some of the activities we participated in:

  • Painted drawings of colours, animals and numbers using Gathang language. These were then made into books for each school.
  • Traditional dancing.
  • Used Aboriginal symbols to make a story that we then painted onto Boomerangs.
  • Viewed the stop-motion film created by Glen William Public School students: ‘How the Sand Dunes Came to Be’.
  • Participated in the Aboriginal Games Koolchie, Nandrra-rna and Kolap.
  • Made new friends, caught up with old ones and ate some delicious food prepared by our wonderful P&C!

Thank you to the staff and students from Dungog HS, Dungog PS, Vacy PS, Clarence Town PS, Paterson PS, Martins Creek PS and Gresford PS for helping to make the day such a memorable one.

A special thank you to Nan Margaret and the P&C, staff and students of Glen William Public School who yet again went above and beyond to make it a terrific day for all. We cannot wait for the next one!
